ORIENTATION

If you recently applied for cash assistance, you should have received a letter from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) requiring you to have an orientation for the PATH Program. Your letter will include the date and time of your assigned orientation.

Effective June 25th, 2024 the AEP/PATH orientation will be able to be completed in person at your Michigan Works! service center or online through a virtual meeting.

  • If attending in person, plan on arriving 15 minutes before orientation.

  • If attending virtually, please be early and use the following link:

    • If attending virtually you must have access to high-speed internet, a compatible device with speakers, a microphone, and a camera. You will be expected to appear on camera during orientation.

 

Depending on circumstances, orientation can take up to 5 hours to complete so please plan accordingly.

During this orientation, a Career Development Specialist from our team will give you the tools that you need to develop a career plan and goals for you and your family’s future. In addition, we will include information about:

  • Resume Writing

  • Budgeting

  • Dress for Success

  • Customer Service

  • Interviewing Skills

  • Training Opportunities

 

Following your orientation, our team will continue to work with you on your career goals. In addition, you may be eligible for supportive services including:

  • Employment clothing

  • Bus passes

  • Car purchases

  • Car repairs

  • Mileage reimbursement

  • Auto insurance
