About the event

Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren, along with community partners and employers, is excited to bring the first annual Career and Community Expo event to southwest Michigan residents looking for career, education, and training opportunities. Registration for this event is not required and pre-registration is optional!

The Career and Community Expo will help individuals “travel into their destiny” by bringing employers, educators, and social service organizations together for a day of exploration. The June 30 expo will also feature food, music, prize giveaways and a bounce house, making the event family friendly. The event will take place from 2-6 pm at Michigan Works! in Benton Harbor, located at 499 West Main Street.

While the list is still growing for engaged employers and community partners, below is a list of employers and community organizations that will be joining the Michigan Works! team at the expo.

“We are excited to bring the first ever Career and Community Expo to southwest Michigan and couldn’t have picked a more important time for an event like this,” said Lily Brewer, Executive Director of Michigan Works! Berrien, Cass, Van Buren. “We’re here to help individuals in southwest Michigan get back to work, get individuals enrolled in training, connect them to education, and knock down any barriers that stand in their way and this expo will do all of that at one time.”

Individuals who would like to participate should arrive interview ready with a resume. Participating individuals do not need to register their attendance. Parking is available in the empty parking lot across the street from the Whirlpool Corporation Tech Center, the adjacent parking lot across from Michigan Works! on Main Street, and in the Michigan Works! parking lot. Masks are not required, however, they will be provided. The event is kid and family friendly.
