Apply Today to Plow Tomorrow: Seasonal Snowplow Operators Needed in Southwest Michigan
September 12, 2011 Benton Harbor, MI –Michigan Works! is recruiting snowplow operators to keep Southwest Michigan’s roads clean and safe this winter.
Temporary, seasonal jobs paying $14.00 to $18.00 per hour with The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) are available in Allegan, Barry, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, and Van Buren counties. The employment period will span from November 14, 2011, to March 16, 2012.
Applicants must provide a current medical card, driving record, and a valid Class A CDL with an X or N endorsement with less than 5 points. They must also attend one information session either on September 20, 2011, at 9:00 a.m. at the Kalamazoo MDOT office at 1501 E. Kilgore, or on September 22, 2011, at 9:00 a.m. at the Benton Harbor Michigan Works! office at 499 W. Main St. Applicants attending the information sessions should be prepared to complete an application and participate in an on-site interview.
